There is no difference in the optical performance of lens quality between HD-5052PRO and HD-5050PRO/HD-5050PRO-LE

The model HD-5052PRO Wideangle conversion lens has designed to broaden the angle of view, including 100% more area in the picture, when attached to the lens of 4K/High Definition Camcorders. It's compatible with the whole zoom area and stays in focus*.

The HD-5052PRO is made of the high-index optical glass elements with new concept of lens designing using three-group/four-element lens formula. This new concept in designing the lens made it possible to achieve a high definition wideangle lens of the 600 lines/mm resolution power at center (MTF30%).

* The conversion lens is designed to cope with the zoom lens of 12times or lower magnification, and it may not be compatible with a lens of higher zooming power.
●The cosmetic designs may change without prior notice.
●The top of a rear convex element of the HD-5052PRO is made protruded from the level of the mounting threads.. In using or transporting the lens without attaching an adapter, it may touch on the camera's lens causing some damages or scars.
●The HD-5052PRO lens is primarily designed to achieve the optimum performance for use with compact digital/video camcorders. And it's compatible with some digital still cameras too. But, in that case there could be slight image quality reduction depending on the model in use.
●Depending upon the model of camera in use or the condition of shooting, especially when the lighting is not bright enough, there may be possibility of creating a flare effect which reduces the image quality at the telephoto. When the HD-5052PRO lens is attached and set at telephoto for a distant object, please make sure that the object is under the bright condition.
●Remote control function and internal video light/Flash may not work properly with conversion lens attached.
●HD-5052PRO/HD-5050PRO/HD-5005PRO-LE are made of exactly same lens design.
● Screw-thread pitch size is 0.75mm unless specified.
●The lens is not compatible with SONY DCR-DVD301/201/101.
●Exposing the conversion lens to a warm atmosphere in an instant way from the cold area may create some dew on and inside the lens. When it happened inside the lens, keep the lens in a dry area till the dew disappear before using. Repeating such may leave dirt spot - (mildew) and affect the image.
●All of Raynox conversion lenses are proudly made in Japan. At our owned manufacturing subsidiary, every stage of production is rigorously checked and tested so that the lens elements compensate effectively for astigmatism, distortion and spherical aberration.... for an excellent image quality.
●The lens is neither made for dust-free nor moisture/water-proof.
